First, we start with a free consultation to discuss your challenges and goals.

Then you’ll complete our registration form, which includes questionnaires on your health and fitness history. Next, we’ll evaluate your information to develop a customized approach to your wellness, nutrition, and training that’s scientifically based, holistic, and unique to you. We prescribe you detailed workouts and exercises to support your healthy lifestyle. And since Coach Joan has clinical experience as an allied health professional, she knows how to collaborate with your medical team and registered dietician.

Heart Health Coaching

Coach Joan has the specialized experience and knowledge to work with you if you’ve been advised by your doctor to work on reducing your cardiovascular risk factors or if you have graduated from a cardiac rehabilitation program. She has experience working in the Cardiac Rehabilitation programs of the top NYC hospitals and also worked in Open Heart Surgery supporting the top doctors in the nation.

Coach Joan is an Exercise Physiologist, which means she’s qualified to prescribe exercise, conduct and evaluate fitness and exercise assessments, and improve your health. As an Exercise Physiologist, she has studied the effects of exercise and how it can reduce or reverse disease.

Having a coach who’s an Exercise Physiologist means that you have an allied health professional on your side; Someone who can prepare you for the demands of life and exercise while remaining healthy.

Joan’s graduate level studies have included physiology, psychology, sleep, nutrition, and health. Her clinical experience as an allied health professional included working closely with patients in cardiac rehabilitation and pulmonary rehabilitation, as well as working alongside and supporting surgeons in the cardiovascular operating room.

Sustainable changes to your long term health requires the help of the right professionals on your side. And as an Exercise Physiologist, Joan is an allied health professional who’s qualified to prescribe exercise that’s best suited to you and your situation. She has studied the body’s responses and adaptations to physical activity in depth and will apply her knowledge and clinical experience to improving your health and wellness.
